Question

Are you mortgaging your children's future because 0f all the "rights" you have as an American?

ie. "right" to a $4 coffee, "right" to a new pair of shoes (even though you don't need them), "right" to an iPhone, the right to go out to dinner, etc., etc. - even though we can't afford to do any or all of these things as much as we do...

Thanks to Perry Noble for kicking me in the gut with this thought...

I don't care (but I really do)

"I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court"

Profound words spoken by Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians. Ones that I would like to be able to say and believe but ones that I actually believe the opposite. I do care what people think of me. I don't want people to judge me because of my beliefs, my choices, or even my clothes.

We have all heard "Judge Not" or "Don't judge me" over and over. Especially when anything concerning religion comes up - but Paul's phrase here brings it to a whole new level for me. Not only am I not to judge (as he points out in the following verses) but I am not to care if others judge me - and that may prove to be more difficult than not judging others...

How about you? Which is harder for you?
