But Seek First His Kingdom

Matthew 6:25-34 can be summed up like this:
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life...But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

I've had some trouble doing this lately, so I ask - What does this look like? What does seeking His Kingdom mean? What does seeking His Righteousness mean?

I don't care (but I really do)

"I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court"



Profound words spoken by Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians. Ones that I would like to be able to say and believe but ones that I actually believe the opposite. I do care what people think of me. I don't want people to judge me because of my beliefs, my choices, or even my clothes.



We have all heard "Judge Not" or "Don't judge me" over and over. Especially when anything concerning religion comes up - but Paul's phrase here brings it to a whole new level for me. Not only am I not to judge (as he points out in the following verses) but I am not to care if others judge me - and that may prove to be more difficult than not judging others...
