The Great Debate

This "discussion" began over at the Back Porch and I want some answers - so I ask:

1. Did the dinosaurs survive the flood? Why or why not?

2. Were the dinosaurs around during Jesus' time?

3. If you answered yes to #2 - did Jesus ride on dinosaurs?

In response to #3 - the picture above seems to think so.

The Stuff Christians Like Blog seems to be chiming in on the subject as well.

1. No, because they were already extinct. There is too much evidence to support it to say otherwise and the Bible is silent on it.
2.No.
3. I wrote over the at the other blog that it could have been a pre-incarnate Jesus having a little fun. I wouldn't personally choose to ride a T-Rex, but I'm sure God could control him. :-)

The world is older than 6,000 years old. The Bible was not written for us to use it as a timeline of history -- many of the numbers in Scripture have a figurative meaning rather than a literal one.

Jesus didn't ride on dinosaurs... ;)

That's an extremely important point. If anyone disagrees with that, then they must agree that the 491st sin against you doesn't have to be forgiven (aka 70 times 7 plus one). And that is our Lord using numbers as an adjective. Good point.

Dear me. I can't keep an accurate count of others trangressions. It taked too much energy. So, I can't take that verse literally. I would loose count and forgive too many or not enough!

Anyway, I don't think Jesus rode a dino.
