LOST - Jughead - UPDATE

[UPDATE]
One great thing I've read is that Ellie - the girl with the gun on the Island is Eloise Hawking - who is also Faraday's mom! That is why she looked familiar to him. BAM! (side note - Eloise was also the name of Daniel's lab rat)

Last nights episode Rocked! One of the best yet!

A few good points I've picked up so far:

From the Lost Blog:

OK, now we've got at least one object that appears out of thin air. The compass. Locke hands it to Alpert in 1954. Alpert takes it along with him in, oh, 1964 when he visits the young Locke. Alpert gives it to Locke in, oh 2000(?) when he treats Locke's leg wound. Locke carries it back to 1954 where he gives it to Alpert, completing the circle. This compass was never manufactured and has no existence prior to 1954 or after the 2000(?) meeting. Can you see why I maintain the whole island may have a similar origin and fate?

Egyptian leaders often came to power by killing their parent(s): Ben killed his father, and Locke (through Sawyer) killed his father.

When Ben told Jack to go home and pack belongings he wanted because he was never coming back. The Egyptian ritual was to bury possessions with the deceased to be used in the afterlife.

Remember Locke's dream? Theresa falls up the stairs/Theresa falls down the stairs? Like time going back and forth? Maybe she did not die but just incapacitated. Did Teresa's sister say sometimes she is here? and sometimes she is not? Time traveling in her mind? Could there be a connection there?

I'll be back with my thoughts soon.

What did you think of last nights episode?

Tebow = Hit Magnet!

Turns out my post last week about Tebow drove a lot of traffic to this here little blog...something like 120 views. Funny thing is there were only 6 comments.... That is like a 4.23% response rate. We can do better than that can't we?! I'm not begging for comments here (well I guess I kinda am) but if you wouldn't mind leaving a comment to let me know you've been here - well, that would be just great.

Don't feel you have anything "worthwhile" to say - then just say "hi."

Think Tebow is overrated? We want to hear about it! I mean we'll block all of your following comments, but we still want to hear about it.

This blog is all about building community - so let us know you stoped by. We'll leave the light on for you.

Destiny Calls - The Return of LOST

My Initial thoughts, theories, & questions from Last night's 2 hr season premier:

Thoughts:

Wow! I love this show! The "time hopping" or "movements" were awesome. I can't wait to see how this plays out. How long will these "movements" last? Looks like Daniel's been hoping around the island a long time and that Desmond is the key to the whole puzzle!

Theories:

Ms. Hawking is Daniel Faraday's Mom - who Daniel told Desmond to go and find during one of the "movements" of the Losties through time on the Island.

Questions:

What was that box that Ben got out of the a/c vent in the hotel room?

Since Charlotte's nose starting bleeding - does this mean she is going to die - just like Minkowski? Or will Daniel help her find her constant?

Was that Christian Shephard behind the camera filming the Dharma video?

That is all I got! I am sure I will think of more so check back for updates over the next few days!

How about you? Thoughts, theories, or questions?

Change?

Question.

Is change a movement? or

Can change be a movement?

Why or why not?

2008 in Review

This is too funny...

Fasting

I guess you can't really call what I did fasting. Maybe Breakfasting...You see, I simply forgot to eat breakfast this morning. There was no deep spiritual backing behind it - just me busying myself to the point of not eating.

Do you ever do this? Hit the ground running - only to realize by lunch time that you never ate breakfast?

Sorry, stomach is growling..gotta go.

The Open Table

Donald Miller has a new project called The Open Table that he is getting ready to launch and it sounds pretty interesting. Here is the description from the site:

The Open Table: An Invitation to Know God is simply that – an open invitation for discussion about some of life’s greatest questions: what is Christianity, who is Jesus, and how should this affect our lives? Donald Miller, author of best-selling books Blue Like Jazz & Searching for God Knows What, invites you to join him in a conversation infused with humor, truth, history, and above all, honesty. Whether you have never opened a Bible or if you grew up reciting the Lord’s Prayer, the table is open to you.

Jump on over to the site and have a look. Then come back here and answer the question:

Would you be interested in a group like this if there were one in your area?

I Feel the Need...the Need for Tweed!

Last night's episode of the office was one of the best this season. A return to the molding of the first 2 seasons. Funny, akward, yet full of heart. Michael trying to explain himself through a free flowing sentence was classic. As was the 'duel' between Dwight and Andy for Angela's heart. If you missed it - shame on you! But you can redeem yourself and watch it here.

Tebow Skips Senior Season, Ascends Directly Into Heaven

Tebow Skips Senior Season, Ascends Directly Into Heaven

MIAMI (SP) -- Shortly after leading the Florida Gators to a national championship with a 24-14 win over Oklahoma, junior quarterback Tim Tebow announced that he would skip his senior season and ascend directly into heaven.

Tebow entered the press room to wild applause. A reporter for a 24- hour cable sports network burst into tears when the 2007 Heisman winner entered the room. Another threw a pair of boxer shorts on the podium. Tebow smiled at the gesture and several sports reporters fainted.

"Sorry I'm late," Tebow began. "There was a six-year-old boy with cancer in row 54 and I had to make my way through the crowd to heal him."

"I want to start by saying that playing quarterback for the University of Florida, winning two national championships, has been a great honor. There has been some speculation about my future and I want to clear that up right now," he continued.

"Don't go, Tim!" a reporter shouted from the back of the room.

"After much consideration, I have decided to skip my senior season at the University of Florida and ascend directly into Heaven," Tebow announced. Upon making the announcement, Tebow was bathed in a blinding white light and vanished.

In response to the news, ESPN announced they will have a month-long tribute to Tebow. ESPN2 will now be known as ESPN-TEBOW and will feature Tebow highlights, including home videos of Tebow's childhood, re-airings of past interviews, Tebow-centric analysis by ESPN air personalities, a Tebow quiz show and a reality show to find the "most Tebow-like" person in America.

"He wasn't just the greatest player in college football history," said a college football writer at the press conference, tears streaming down his face. "He might have been the greatest person to ever walk on earth."
