I don't care (but I really do)

"I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court"

Profound words spoken by Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians. Ones that I would like to be able to say and believe but ones that I actually believe the opposite. I do care what people think of me. I don't want people to judge me because of my beliefs, my choices, or even my clothes.

We have all heard "Judge Not" or "Don't judge me" over and over. Especially when anything concerning religion comes up - but Paul's phrase here brings it to a whole new level for me. Not only am I not to judge (as he points out in the following verses) but I am not to care if others judge me - and that may prove to be more difficult than not judging others...

How about you? Which is harder for you?

sadly, it's harder for me to not judge others...when i suspect that other people are judging me, i just judge them right back in my head! ha need to work on that...

ha, you know I probably would have said I have a harder time not caring whether or not I am judged. that is until cool mum's comment. now I will have to think about. great!

What a great question. I really don't know what my answer is.
